Where do I start?
June has come and gone. July is here and summer is in full swing. What started out as a typical start to summer quickly changed to an extended hospital stay for Gordy. Let me start by saying that things are much better these days compared to a month ago. It was scary, heart wrenching, and pulled me right out of my comfort zone into a medical mess. Sometimes it seems like it all happened a long time ago but when I think about it all those feelings are very raw yet. I don't really want to go into detail here but please know that everything is truly better. We are taking it one day at a time. Focusing on the positive and the future. Thankfully it's summer and that in itself is so very good for the soul.
Summer hasn't been exactly passing us by either even though our garden is looking like a wannabe lawn, we've been enjoying a few summertime favorites as well:
homegrown strawberries from our garden back in June:

my parent's 50th wedding anniversary:
fireworks big & small with a few Starburst thrown in for good measure:
scrumptious cupcakes and lots of sweet watermelon:
exciting 9-year-old baseball games:

small town parades:
fields of flowers (I love these!):
bike trails and covered bridges:
So there you have it.
A tiny glimpse of life here... with more to come! I miseed this little place.
I hope you are well and finding some fun in the sun.
I'm anxious to catch up with everyone. It's been far too long.
