Every time the week ends I think to myself that next week I will update my little space here more often. I'll have more time then. So many times I find myself thinking about things that would be great to talk about here. I see every day things that would be perfect for the camera but the camera is no where to be found or someone is with me and I don't want to bother them with my photo opportunity (having someone watch me makes me nervous, I know ... I need to work on that). Next time, I think to myself. Next week. And so it goes this summer. The summer of fleeting moments. I love late spring and all of summer. Trouble is I can feel the season starting to change and as much as I love fall I am a bit sad to see August breezing by me. Just about the time I get into a summer routine of gardening, watering, harvesting, and enjoying all that summer has to offer... a new season begins to slowly slip in. The acorns on the front steps, the late day shadows, the cool mornings, the sunsets that come just a bit earlier than the week before.... sigh... all signs making me want to hang on a little longer. I'm going to make a point to savor these summer moments. So here's to finding little pockets of sunshine and moments that will remind us of summer long into the depths of winter.
Now would you like one scoop or two with that? And your favorite flavor?
Mine was one scoop of Licorice Chip. Drippy and delicious!
